Eve has a very clear picture of what she envisions for her wedding day from her entrance into the ceremony to her and her new husband's exit from the reception. She wants a rustic yet romantic and fun environment. Adam and Eve are huge into the outdoors and have always pictured an outdoor ceremony and reception. Luckily, with some help from her parents they were able to find a reception location that perfectly fit their vision. Deep Creek Lake provided the perfect enclusive location for a weekend with family and friends. For their reception, Adam wants a lot of upbeat music and a lot of lighting on the dance floor. He will be frequenting and entertaining on the dance floor while Eve watches from the distance. They hired a wonderful DJ to orchestrate the cocktail hour and reception. They were able to splurge on the DJ and lighting by saving money through a family reception. Cocktail hour and their dinner reception will take place at Eve's parents farm in McHenry, minutes from Wisp Resort - their chosen ceremony location. Wisp Resort will cater the event to the offsite property.

 

To thank their guests for celebrating their special day Adam and Eve will give out hot sauce as a favor. While unconventional, it showcases the type of couple that they are. They both love spicy food and food in general! Adam and Eve will also offer an unconventional dessert option for their guests to enjoy and take home if they so do desire. Their love for donuts and sweet treats was an easy choice for another edible favor. Thank you notes will be placed on each place setting as a reminder that this day could not be made possible without the love and support of their friends and family. To save money and resources, Eve and  a few close friends created personalized labels for the Hot Sauce to thank her guests, and created the Thank you cards from a design she found on Etsy. Eve bought her flowers on Ebay and created the crysanthemum centerpieces by hand. 

 

Their wedding date is set for late September. They want to incorporate the fall weather into their special day as it is their favorite season. The style of the ceremony and reception is semi-formal. Their wedding colors are dusty blue, shades of pink, and some light touches of dark purple. The bride and bridesmaid's bouqets have touches of these colors throughout. Eve's accessory shoes were a gift from her mother - something blue. Eve plans to give her bridesmaids each a kimono to wear on the day of her wedding as a thank you for their support. Adam plans on giving each of his groomsmen baseball tickets to a game in May to thank them and act as his bachelor party weekend.
